Senior Network Engineer

Our client is looking for a network engineer in Canberra to assist with office relocations, including the design of IT infrastructure for the new office, daily administration, and the implementation and maintenance of the Agency's network infrastructure.

About the role:

• Designing and implementing the IT network infrastructure for the Agency’s new Canberra office.
• Installing and configuring network hardware, such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Monitoring and maintaining the network performance.
• Troubleshooting and resolving network issues and outages.
• Ensuing network security through firewalls, VPNs, and other protective measure.
• Ensuring network systems are up to date with the latest technologies and patches.
• Documenting and maintaining network diagrams, configurations and documentation.
• Providing network support to users experiencing network-related issues.
• Ensuring that network operations comply with industry regulations and standards.

About you:

Advanced experience with Cisco Switches. At least 5 years work experience with IT infrastructure network such as IP network design, trouble shooting, Wi-Fi configuration, fibre and optics, switching and routing.

Below experience are essential:

• Demonstrated experience in IT infrastructure network for office relocation
• At least 5 years work experience with IT infrastructure network such as IP network design, trouble shooting, Wi-Fi configuration, fibre and optics, switching and routing

Below experience and qualifications are highly desirable:

• Previous experience in IT infrastructure network for office relocation.
• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Cisco certified Network Associate (CCNA).
• Cisco certified Network Professional
