LHI Retirement Services has a strong focus on providing their aged care community with quality care services regardless of circumstances.
Founded in 1957, they are a South Australian owned and operated not-for-profit organisation which provides independent living, community care and residential care support to retired people.
It is an exciting time to be joining LHI as they have recently and successfully merged with Fullarton Lutheran Homes. Combining LHI Retirement Services, which operates facilities at Glynde and Hope Valley, and Fullarton Lutheran Homes, will create retirement living and care services for more than 1,100 residents and 680 staff.
LHI are seeking a People and Culture Advisor to join their growing and supportive team to design, develop and implement strategies that will attract, engage, and develop employees and build upon a high-performance culture. The role includes providing strategic HR & IR advice to LHI Managers and being involved in a range of HR related projects which support the development and implementation of new strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities of this role include:
- Operating as a key contact for all human resource functions to support the effective functioning of the business.
- Providing advice to senior managers on operational people matters, risks, issues, and trends to keep managers informed and supported - , including coaching managers in relation to change management, engagement, and workforce planning issues.
- Developing and monitoring systems, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and standards, while ensuring compliance with awards and enterprise agreements.
- Providing support and relevant training to managers and staff in relation to performance management, counselling, discipline and the grievance and dispute resolution process.
- Assisting with identifying and facilitating training and development initiatives
- Evaluating options for organisational improvement which have industrial relations implications in order to advise and assist LHI managers through any change management processes.
Key Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline
- Understanding of employment contract law, industrial instruments (Awards and Enterprise Agreements) and Fair Work Act 2009
- Expert knowledge of HR generalist functions regarding workforce planning, employee engagement and development, employee relations, , recruitment, retention, quality audits and organisational metrics.
- High quality communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as a member of a diverse team
- Exercise well developed analytical skills to lead research and analysis of complex HR matters and prepare expert and influential recommendations to address business risks and/or improvement opportunities.
