As the HR Coordinator, you will work closely with the wider HR team to provide support, advice and coordination to deliver a full range of HR responsibilities to all employees across the business.
In this role, you will help influence outcomes by acting as the first point of contact for all HR related enquiries and ensure all people related processes are effective and efficient.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage investigations, grievances, and mediation to resolution
- Prepare recommendations and draft documentation ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and legislation
- Advise leaders and managers on the management of non-performance and develop leadership capability to enable effective and compliant performance management practices
- Raising employment contracts for new and existing employees, including collating documentation for payroll
- Assist managers with training needs and development of training and development plans
- Assist the HR team with recruitment and on boarding
- Update and manage the induction of new employees
- Work collaboratively with leaders to implement employee engagement activities
- Ensuring compliance and legislative issues are addressed and update to date
- All other adhoc HR duties are required
Skills and experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in a generalist People and Culture role
- Demonstrated foundation knowledge of HR policies and practices, compliance requirements and risk implications of HR
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
- A knowledge and understanding of industrial legislation to interpret awards
- Enjoys working in a team first working environment
Education/Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications or currently studying towards in Human Resources or related field (desired)
