Senior HR Advisor

Your extensive knowledge in Employee Relations will enable you to provide specialist advice and coaching to leaders, fostering a positive culture within your team. You will also be responsible for maintaining effective relationships with various stakeholders, including government departments, consultants, contractors, and agencies.

  • Lead and manage the People & Culture Operations Sub Unit
  • Provide specialist employee relations advice and coaching to leaders
  • Design and implement work practices and manage workflows safely and efficiently
  • Ensure corporate business objectives are achieved to meet current and anticipated changing organisational needs
  • Accountable for the work performance including conduct and safety, of reports within the Sub Unit
  • Maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, consultants, contractors, government departments and agencies

Key Requirements:

  • Degree qualification in Employment Law or related field (desirable but not essential)
  • Extensive industrial relations experience in large, unionised, complex organisations
  • Previous experience working in a specialist role
  • Advanced people management skills to direct, manage, evaluate and motivate staff
  • Advanced communication (written, verbal and public speaking) and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of business planning, resource planning and budget management
