Manager, HR Partnerships and Advisory

The University of Adelaide, is seeking a Manager, HR Partnerships and Advisory for a fixed-term contract until December 2025. This prestigious institution is part of Australia's Group of Eight research-intensive universities, renowned for its international reputation and commitment to innovation and excellence in research and teaching. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for the effective provision of HR services across various streams, including HR Manager partnerships, HR Advisory and the HR Service Centre. Your role will involve providing advice on a broad range of complex HR matters, leading and mentoring the HR team, and working closely with key senior stakeholders within the University while reporting to the Director, HR Advisory and Workplace Relations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Establish strong networks across the University to support strategic and operational initiatives of the HR Branch.
  • Provide professional senior level, strategic and operational HR generalist advice.
  • Provide effective leadership, coaching and guidance to the HR team.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex and unresolved matters.
  • Conduct service surveys to assess customer satisfaction.
  • Support the delivery of major change and workforce development initiatives.
  • Drive the development and analysis of HR metrics to develop relevant HR strategies and solutions.
  • Support cross functional HR Projects and Initiatives.

Key requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a similar field.
  • Proven experience in effectively leading teams of senior HR professionals across multiple service streams.
  • Experience in driving a customer-centric HR service delivery model in a large organisation.
  • Extensive knowledge in contemporary HR practice including legislation and industrial instruments.
  • Experience in embedding workforce planning practices and delivering OD initiatives.
  • Experience supporting significant business change programs or transformations.
  • Ability to drive development and analysis of HR metrics.
