Senior HRBP/ Junior HR Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior HRBP/Junior HR Manager to join an internationally recognised law firm based in Sydney CBD. This is a 10 month parental leave contract, starting 1st July. The role involves providing informed, practical and timely HR advice to partners, management and employees on a range of areas including recruitment, performance management, learning and development, mobility, employee engagement, OHS, policy, change management and remuneration and benefits.

What you'll do:
As a Senior HRBP/Junior HR Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of high-level HR support for approximately 110 internal clients. You will work closely with the Head of Operations, Australia & Regional Head of HR, partners and business services managers. Your role will also involve driving and implementing a number of HR initiatives as requested by the Head of HR.
- Provide comprehensive support on resourcing and planning
- Manage employee performance and reinforce the importance of continuous performance management
- Use in-depth knowledge of key legislation to coach and advise managers and partners on employee matters
- Develop and advise on reward strategies
- Manage the implementation of local and global projects
- Ensure all policies are current and competitive
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Senior HRBP/Junior HR Manager role will have at least 5 years operational experience within a reputable organisation, preferably in the legal or professional services sector. You should be self-motivated, innovative and passionate about driving projects and initiatives. Confidentiality and discretion are key requirements for this role along with accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently to tight deadlines.
- Experience in Legal
- Strong relationship builder with solid commercial acumen
- Flexibility to respond to changing priorities with a 'can do' attitude
- Ability to sensitively manage people issues within legal parameters
- Tertiary qualification in HR or related discipline
- Deep understanding of current HR/IR issues
- Highly computer literate with knowledge of HR systems
