What you'll do:

- Provide expert guidance to managers and employees on human resources policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistent application across the organisation.
- Offer recommendations to enhance workforce planning and succession strategies while delivering advice on employment legislation, awards interpretation, and workplace policies.
- Contribute actively to the development and implementation of industrial relations strategies that align with broader organisational goals.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes including drafting job advertisements, screening candidates, facilitating interviews, and supporting onboarding activities.
- Lead initiatives designed to boost employee engagement, promote diversity and inclusion efforts, and nurture a positive workplace culture for all staff members.
- Coordinate programmes that support employee well-being and mental health by collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver impactful outcomes.
- Develop, update, and implement human resources policies to maintain compliance with relevant employment legislation and industry standards.
- Participate in the design and delivery of key HR projects such as learning and development programmes, leadership development initiatives, and organisational change management.
- Act as a trusted partner for leaders at all levels by building strong relationships founded on empathy, understanding, and effective communication.

- Hold a tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline which underpins your comprehensive understanding of HR principles.
- Demonstrate 5-10 years’ experience in a similar advisory capacity with exposure to diverse human resources functions across multiple business areas.
- Possess sound knowledge of the Manufacturing and Associated Industries Award as well as Clerks Award 2020 with proven ability to interpret complex award requirements.
- Bring previous experience working within manufacturing environments which enables you to understand industry-specific challenges and opportunities.
- Exhibit strong knowledge of contemporary HR practices including policy development, award interpretation, compliance management, and employment legislation.
- Showcase exceptional communication skills coupled with high emotional intelligence allowing you to build trusted relationships at all organisational levels.
- Display adaptability alongside proactive problem-solving abilities so you can respond effectively to changing priorities or emerging issues within the business.
- Demonstrate commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, employee engagement initiatives as well as supporting mental health programmes within the workplace.
- Have experience managing recruitment processes end-to-end from advertising roles through onboarding successful candidates into the team environment.
- Show enthusiasm for contributing towards learning & development projects or organisational change initiatives that support long-term business objectives.
