As a trusted advisor to both the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer, you will assume a central role in shaping the people strategy for an enterprise renowned for its expertise in high quality products.

This appointment is particularly well-suited to an individual who values both the practical aspects of human resources management and the opportunity to contribute to strategic initiatives that underpin organisational advancement and cultivate a positive, inclusive workplace culture.

With four sites across Australia and a dedicated workforce of 100 staff, you will collaborate closely with operational, technical, and professional colleagues, ensuring each individual is recognised and supported. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior leaders on workforce planning to align staffing with goals.
  • Lead and manage the recruitment, selection and induction process.
  • Provide day-to-day support to executive/managers across the employee lifecycle, including coaching managers through cyclical processes, including remuneration reviews, succession planning, and performance appraisals.
  • Identify learning needs, create training plans/budgets, coordinate sessions, and track outcomes.
  • Work on succession planning; identifying high achievers and putting together personal development plans.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation.
  • Benchmark salaries, design pay structures, oversee payroll/benefits (ie EAP).
  • Align HR strategy with business goals; lead change management and provide workforce analytics.
  • Develop and implement HR initiatives aligned with business strategy.
  • Support business needs through the development and engagement of human resources.
  • In collaboration with the WHS Manager, oversee effective injury management and the continuation of return to work strategies.
  • Focus on how HR leverages new technologies and the data to inform decision making.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience managing recruitment processes including workforce planning and onboarding.
  • Experience in managing, designing and developing broad range of HR including performance management, industrial relations, workforce planning, employee relations, strategic HR planning and change management.
  • Background in Learning & Development: identifying needs and creating plans.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation , industrial relations frameworks, Awards and Enterprise Agreements and experience in compliance/audit participation.
  • Strategic mindset for aligning HR initiatives with business objectives using workforce analytics.
  • Practical experience maintaining HRIS records and implementing/upgrading technology platforms securely.
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple sites with operational or professional colleagues effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Proven experience ideally within manufacturing, FMCG or a similarly fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering HR initiatives and programs, especially in onboarding, training coordination, and employee engagement.
  • Highly organised with effective time management skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • Commercially minded with strong business acumen and a customer-focused approach.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent relevant experience in a similar human resources role
