What you’ll be doing
As Senior HR Manager, your primary focus will be retail transformation, supported by broader HR leadership responsibilities:
Retail-focused priorities:

Staff profiling & capability assessment: Identify top performers, understand what drives their success, and use insights to strengthen retail teams.

Retail operations strategy: Review store operations through a strategic HR lens to maximise commercial outcomes.

Rostering & performance optimisation: Design schedules and workflows that balance productivity, profitability, and employee satisfaction.

Retention & talent strategies: Rebuild retention programs, secure high-potential talent, and develop succession plans for key roles.

Commission and incentive design: Refine structures to drive behaviours aligned with business objectives and customer excellence.
Broader HR leadership:

Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with short- and long-term business goals.

Lead recruitment, performance management, learning & development, and remuneration frameworks.

Act as a trusted advisor on employee relations, mediating conflicts and ensuring fair resolution.

Drive workforce planning and organisational design to support growth.

Oversee HR budgets, salary benchmarking, and bonus review processes.

Ensure compliance with Australian employment legislation and maintain up-to-date policies.

Deliver wellbeing initiatives fostering psychological safety, resilience, and a positive workplace culture.

Prepare actionable HR reporting for local leadership and international headquarters.

Support change management initiatives through clear communication and stakeholder engagement.
What you bring

Proven experience leading HR teams in premium or luxury retail, with strong understanding of high-touch service environments.

Expertise in staff capability assessment, retention, commission design, and performance optimisation.

Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline with broad generalist experience.

Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, collaborating effectively with leaders and teams at all levels.

Experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance employee outcomes while maintaining compliance and cost-effectiveness.

Deep knowledge of Australian industrial relations legislation, particularly in multi-site retail environments.

Ethical professionalism, sound judgement, and a solutions-focused approach.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and excellent written communication for reporting and policy documentation.
