In this position, the WHS & Return to Work Coordinator will effectively maintain and support the existing WHS and RTW framework, and support key business leaders to ensure compliance is achieved, to meet the organisations strategic objectives.
Reporting to the WHS Manager, the WHS & Return to Work Coordinator is responsible for coordinating a number of key WHS and Injury Management activities to deliver site and national WHS objectives, such as:
- Ensure all practicable steps are taken to eliminate or control hazards within the workplace through the process of hazard identification, risk assessment, implementation of controls and monitoring and evaluation of processes within your area of responsibility.
- Support solutions and process modifications that eliminate or minimise the risk of injury to employees, damage to property and other assets, within your area of responsibility.
- Assist with planning, coordinating and evaluating rehabilitation and return to work (RRTW) services.
- Coach and educate managers, supervisors and workers about injury management, confidentiality and return to work processes.
- Provide site-based generalist safety guidance, coaching and monthly WHS statistical reporting (Site based and National reports).
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Successful completion of an accredited Return to Work Officers course or Certificate IV in WHS.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar WHS support role
- Experience in or an understanding of quality assurance within a horticultural/farming environment, is desirable.
- Ability to build strong and collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational and time and priority management skills in order to achieve set objectives within timeframes for self and others.
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to build collaborative relationships with the team and other stakeholders across the organisation.
