Our client is seeking a Senior HSE Manager to lead their team in Sydney CBD. This role offers an exciting opportunity to champion the development of HSE systems, support delivery of the HSE strategy, and manage external certifications and accreditations.




What you'll do:

As a Senior HSE Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the simplification of our client's HSE Systems, processes and databases. You will champion the development of their HSE systems to support delivery of the HSE Strategy. Your excellent problem-solving skills will be utilised as you support the GM HSE in identifying improvements to HSE programs. Your leadership skills will shine as you lead continual improvement initiatives. You will also manage external certifications and accreditations. Lastly, you will develop the Assurance program and capability to support our client's strategic HSE ambition.


  • Lead the simplification of HSE Systems, processes and databases
  • Champion the development of HSE systems to support delivery of the HSE Strategy
  • Support the GM HSE in identifying improvements to HSE programs
  • Lead continual improvement initiatives
  • Manage external certifications and accreditations
  • Develop the Assurance program and capability to support strategic HSE ambition


What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Senior HSE Manager position brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering or Science. You have proven your leadership abilities at a senior management/board level within a matrix organisation. With at least 10 years' experience in WHS within Construction, Infrastructure or High-risk industries under your belt, you are well-versed with WHS legislative agencies, relevant legislation, Codes of Practice, Australian Standards and Guidelines. Your experience extends to leading teams effectively and implementing contemporary HSE Systems.


  • Undergraduate or post-graduate qualifications Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering or Science
  • Experience at senior management/board level in a matrix organisation
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in WHS, in a Construction, infrastructure or High risk industry
  • Experience in leading and developing teams
  • Extensive knowledge of the requirements of WHS legislative agencies, relevant legislation, Codes of Practice, Australian Standards and Guidelines (including the National Electricity Network Safety Code), Industry Safety Rules and Guidelines.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in development and implementation of contemporary HSE Systems
