About the Risk and Compliance Manager
Due to growth and multi-campus expansion, the opportunity for a Risk and Compliance Manager to join the business services team, taking responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the College’s risk management program. This is a full-time, cross-campus permanent position, based at our Gawler Belt campus.

The Risk and Compliance Manager will apply specialist knowledge and expertise, assisting the College Executive to manage the risk and compliance framework of the College. They will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of risk mitigation, ensuring policy and procedures remain up to date and comply with current regulations, including ICT Risk, Reputational Risk, the Risk Framework, Work Health and Safety (WHS) program, Return to Work (RTW) Framework, Business Continuity Plan, and College systems, policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the College’s Risk Management framework in conjunction with the College Executive, ensuring risks are identified, understood and effective management strategies are implemented
  • Support and assist in the development, implementation and management of the College’s risk management strategy, policy and processes, ensuring compliance obligations of the College are monitored and met
  • Work with staff to encourage and promote a culture of risk awareness and implement compliance management processes
  • Review risk assessments undertaken by the WHS Coordinator, providing reasonable advice and judgement on risk assessment and safety inspection processes, liaising with appropriate members of staff to ensure corrective action is undertaken, keeping College leadership informed
  • Provide advice and direction to the College Executive, College Board and Committees

Key Requirements:

  • Formal Tertiary qualifications in the area/s of Risk Management and/or Work Health and Safety and/or relevant demonstrated knowledge and experience in a comparable role
  • Strong proficiency across risk and compliance and work health and safety disciplines
  • High-level organisation skills, ability to plan, problem solve, prioritise and proactively manage time effectively, demonstrating a high degree of initiative, discretion and capacity to be self-directive and be responsible for outcomes
