Our client is seeking a Principal Safety Advisor to join their team in Brisbane. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide leadership and strategic advice on infrastructure safety related systems, policies, projects, and programs of work. What you'll do:

As the Principal Safety Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of infrastructure safety within the organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve leading teams in formulating innovative solutions for infrastructure safety-related services. You will provide high-level safety advice to division management and senior executives on a broad range of issues. Your expertise will be crucial in developing, implementing, maintaining, and reviewing reporting and assurance frameworks that support the strategic direction of the department.

  • Lead and participate in teams involved in the formulation of innovative solutions for infrastructure safety related services.
  • Provide high level safety advice to division management and senior executive on a broad range of issues.
  • Participate and lead a team to develop, implement, maintain and review reporting and assurance frameworks.
  • Establish and maintain strategic networks to advance the department’s systems.
  • Lead the analysis of safety trends and issues and develop proactive safety awareness material.
  • Prepare Ministerial reports and briefing materials on a range of infrastructure, safety issues.
  • Contribute to the development of team members by providing guidance and support.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Principal Safety Advisor role brings a wealth of experience from within the public sector. You have demonstrated your ability to provide leadership support to team operations and infrastructure. Your strong knowledge of infrastructure safety-related systems, policies, projects, and programs sets you apart from others. You have proven your ability to provide high-level safety advice to division management and senior executives. Your experience in establishing strategic networks has been instrumental in advancing organisational systems.

  • Proven experience in providing leadership within a public sector environment.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure safety related systems, policies, projects, and programs.
  • Ability to provide high level safety advice to division management and senior executive.
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining strategic networks.
