HSE Advisor (Emerald/Mackay)

This position requires a high level of expertise, attention to detail, a strong safety culture, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will be proactive, enthusiastic and committed to customer service, working closely with technical advisors and contributing ideas for improvement.

What you'll do:

• Provide effective safety leadership and demonstrate a commitment to a continued improvement in safety performance and outcomes.
• Work closely with the operations to understand and implement the Health & Safety Management System, site-specific safety plans and key HSE initiatives.
• Assist with the incident investigation process for onsite incidents, non-conformances and near misses.
• Provide high quality, effective and relevant HSE technical advice to business.
• Facilitate, participate in, and monitor the quality of the internal inspection program.
• Fortnightly travel between job sites in Mackay & Emerald.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this HSE Advisor role brings a wealth of industry knowledge along with specific qualifications including Cert IV WHS or higher. Your understanding of workshop operations and manufacturing practices will be crucial in this role. You have proven experience in risk management processes and root cause analysis. Your ability to monitor noise levels, manage hazardous materials, conduct drug tests are highly valued. Above all else, your excellent communication skills set you apart.
