Sustainability Coordinator

Our client is on the hunt for a Sustainability Coordinator for a 3 -4-month contract role. The ideal candidate will bring a robust environmental background and a keen interest in energy efficiency or renewables projects. This role calls for someone who can work harmoniously with both internal and external stakeholders and managing multiple projects.

What you'll do:

As a Sustainability Coordinator, you will be at the heart of our client's mission to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and achieve other sustainability targets. Responsibilities of the role include:

• Providing technical and strategic advice on sustainability issues develop and implement strategies and monitor progress towards targets.
• Participating in crafting policy and coordinate in preparation and implementation of sustainability plans.
• Monitoring the progress and report on participation to bring the programs/initiatives to life and facilitate action.
• Employing a continuous improvement approach to the organisation’s climate emergency response.
• Preparing reports, project briefs and contract documentation whilst driving governance and compliance to National and State agenda.
• Managing contracts and represent the organisation on relevant external groups and committees.

What you bring:

• Strategic mindset and ability to solve complex issues.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver to competing priorities.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Exceptional communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Experience in climate change mitigation and sustainability programs.
• Project management experience and the ability to managing contractors and consultants.
