As Senior Manager – Employee Relations & Business Partnering, you’ll take the lead on delivering a best-in-class people experience across a complex, fast-paced national business. This is a critical senior role that blends strategic partnering with operational excellence — ideal for a commercially minded HR leader who thrives in environments where transformation, people care, and performance go hand in hand.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership

Partner directly with the Chief People Officer to shape and deliver people strategy aligned to business objectives

Provide strategic guidance to executive and senior leadership teams using data, insights, and market trends
Employee Relations & Case Management

Manage the full employee relations framework, including complex case handling, award interpretation, and coaching for leaders

Partner with external providers to manage return-to-work and WHS frameworks, ensuring compliance and care
Operational Excellence

Oversee HR operations including remuneration reviews, performance cycles, contract reviews, and workforce planning

Ensure alignment across awards, executive contracts, and national employment compliance
Policy, Frameworks & Compliance

Build and refine policies, procedures, and employment frameworks tailored to business needs and best practice standards

Lead reporting requirements across HR metrics, WGEA, WHS and other national compliance measures
People Leadership

Mentor and lead a growing HR team, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture

Set clear goals and enable team capability growth through structured development and support
Change & Project Management

Drive key transformation initiatives across HR systems, processes, and people practices

Champion continuous improvement and innovation across the HR function
What You’ll Bring:

Senior-level HR experience with a strong track record in ER, business partnering, and HR operations

Demonstrated success influencing and advising executives in dynamic, evolving environments
-
Strong working knowledge of employment law and award interpretation (children’s services or care sectors highly regarded)

Experience leading WHS, return-to-work, and employee engagement programs
-
Proven capability in leading teams and delivering people-related projects from strategy to execution

Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
-
A commercial, data-driven mindset with a passion for creating impact through people
Qualifications & Checks:

Tertiary qualifications in HR or a related field

National Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
