Since 2000, Heathgate have operated in the far north of South Australia using the unique and low impact in-situ recovery (ISR) method to recover uranium ore from underground without shifting earth. Heathgate are an industry leader who respects and cares for the environment and the community. From geologists and chemical engineers to drillers and maintenance technicians, Heathgate employs a diverse range of professional, specialist, technical and trades people. They are now seeking a Recruitment Officer to join the HR Team based in the Adelaide CBD.
In this role you will be sourcing and on-boarding operators, trade assistants and other blue collar workers. Utilising technology and innovative sourcing techniques, this role is critical to ensuring the organisation delivers an inspired employee onboarding experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Execute end to end recruitment with key stakeholders
- Onboard all workers to the business for operations, Maintenance, and project departments.
- Develop, review or update position descriptions, ensuring they accurately reflet current vacancies
- Undertake initial review of applications, responding to quires regarding the vacancies
- Guide candidates through recruitment processes to ensure positive candidate experience
- Consider travel requirements and potential fatigue risks applicable to the role
- Organise relevant checks, medical assessments, and copies of relevant licences
- Prepare employee contracts and review and provide all necessary documentation to the new employees
Key requirements:
- Qualification in HR preferred
- Previous blue collar recruitment experience
- Experience in conducting interviews
- Ability to prioritise and handle competing demands
- Professional manner and interpersonal communication
- Attention to detail
