About the organisation:
One of Australia’s Big 4 Banks requires a Product Manager to join their Unsecured Lending. The organisation’s product provides support to a multitude of enterprise and SME organisations, with global reach and a long-term funding supply.
About the role:
This role of Product Manager is a key visionary in the E2E implementation of product grooming, care and management. This role is part of the Unsecured Lending stream and is integral in delivering changes across Technology, Processes and Policies. The role will be an important leadership position for a cross-functional squad to design and build changes to the Unsecured Lending Origination process. The Product Owner is responsible for delivering and implementing changes across the Instalments capability within the Unsecured Lending (USL) Product Stream.
This role will be responsible for:
– Managing a cross-functional team to deliver key deliverables to enable the new platform build (e.g. business requirements, UX / UI designs, CX designs)
– Using Agile methodologies
– Liaising with all partners and other streams of work to deliver key outcomes
– Enabling the vision for USL for Apply & Setup Episode
- Bringing the customer lens into the customer journey
They will need to have:
- Strong understanding of Unsecured Lending products
- BNPL experience highly desired
- Credit Card experience highly desired
- Ability to distil internal and external customer requests and market needs into an innovative product vision and roadmap
- Ability to distil customer data and present insights as clear and useful business information.
- Familiarity with Agile approaches, design, engineering, and testing methodologies.
- Ability to proactively engage in continuous process improvement.
- Structured problem solving and facilitation approaches.
- Ability to listen and communicate clearly with different areas of the business and customers.
- Clarity of verbal and written communication to unambiguously define goals and plans.
- Ability to manage multiple parallel initiatives
- Experience with customer focused initiatives where Customer Experience or Customer Journey work may have been delivered
- Ability to prioritise and make decisions within their remit
- 8+ years of experience as a Product Manager/ Product Owner
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand the market, customers and users, their problems, and their needs, and be their advocate within the company.
- Leading a squad on the customer Journey and Customer Experience
- Understand our current product suite and ensuring any platform changes map to the wider vision.
- Participate in the creation, management, prioritisation and communication of a strategic direction, product roadmap and backlog for the team.
- Understand the commercial and product management strategy and convey these contexts to the team.
- Build collaborative relationships with customers, users, and stakeholders to understand their problems and communicate our solutions.
- Lead customer and product discovery activities.
- Support in developing sales collateral and go-to-market plans.
- Collaborate with user experience and interface designers and engineering to transform ideas into functional software.
- Monitor progress during sprints. Resolve with stakeholder input any ambiguities and conflicts with other existing or new functionality.
- Work with remote and cross-functional teams
- Work with the team and stakeholders to understand team capacity and realistic workloads.
- Ensure customer-facing departments understand the changes we make to our products.
- Contribute and review user documentation.
- Gather metrics and feedback from analytics sources, customers, and stakeholders to improve the product.
- Proactively contribute to ongoing process improvement and ensure high-quality outcomes for our internal and external customers.
