Our client is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst (Clinical) to join their dynamic team. This full-time contract position is based in the heart of Fortitude Valley, within a large organisation that is a trusted partner and advisor for digital health project delivery excellence. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of major IT projects and initiatives across Queensland, benefiting all Queenslanders. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to advancing healthcare through digital innovation.

What you'll do:

As a Business Analyst (Clinical), your role will be pivotal in shaping the future of digital health. You will be responsible for engaging with various stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of valued, integrated and effective business solutions. Your ability to identify and plan for the organisational and human impacts of planned systems will be key to your success. You will work closely with business functional units in defining requirements, assessing solutions, and managing governance processes. Your collaborative approach will enable you to coordinate effectively with multiple programs. Your expertise in developing business and software requirements specifications for IM/ICT projects will be invaluable. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to lead specialised project teams.

  • Engage with senior stakeholders, suppliers, development, and delivery teams to assist in the successful delivery of business solutions.
  • Identify, understand, and plan for organisational and human impacts of planned systems.
  • Document and assess on-site solutions, technology platforms, services, business processes and data domains.
  • Work with business functional units in defining requirements, assessing solutions, and managing governance processes.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with multiple programs to support cross-team deliveries.
  • Develop business and software requirements specifications for IM/ICT projects.
  • Supervise and coordinate specialised project team(s).


What you bring:

As our ideal Business Analyst (Clinical), you bring a wealth of experience performing business analysis activities within IM/ICT program/project(s), ideally within the healthcare industry. Your knowledge in providing sound advice on the application of appropriate design, development, implementation and operation of technology solutions and services sets you apart from others. Your proven consultation, facilitation, written and oral communication skills make you an effective communicator who can influence and engage with a variety of stakeholders. Your ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, developing effective working relationships with team members and stakeholders is key to your success in this role. You are flexible and able to travel as required by the role. Additionally, you meet the health requirements for the role, including vaccination against certain vaccine preventable diseases.

  • Experience performing business analysis activities within IM/ICT program/project(s), preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Knowledge in providing sound advice on the application of appropriate design, development, implementation and operation of technology solutions and services.
  • Proven effective consultation, facilitation, written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment developing effective working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel as required by the role.
  • Vaccination against certain vaccine preventable diseases.
  • Experience working on the IEMR Project.
