Our client is embarking on a major business transformation project, aiming to uplift their portfolio and contract management capabilities. They are seeking a dynamic Business Analyst who is driven to make a difference and can inspire change. This role will play a key part in the research, analysis, and evaluation of the department's asset data sources, structures, governance, reporting, and digital service management requirements. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with stakeholders across the Division and collaborate with embedded consultancy resources.
You will be instrumental in driving the success of our client's major business transformation project. Your role will involve extensive research, analysis, and evaluation of various aspects of the department's operations. You will gather, validate, and document business requirements while also analysing commercial data. Your ability to model business processes will be crucial in identifying opportunities for improvement. You will also be responsible for creating functional specifications for solutions, estimating costs, identifying potential savings, simplifying complex information for better understanding across the team, implementing solutions, and supporting business transition.
- Research, analyse and evaluate the department's asset data sources, structures, governance, reporting and digital service management requirements.
- Gather, validate and document business and reporting requirements.
- Analyse commercial data such as budgets, expenditure and forecasts.
- Model business processes and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Identify issues, risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outline business impacts.
- Create functional specifications for solutions.
- Estimate costs and identify business savings.
- Simplify information and decipher technical jargon so it is easily understood by the whole team.
- Implement and test solutions.
- Support business transition and help establish change.
