Migration Analyst

Our client is an ASX-200 company providing multidisciplinary construction, maintenance and industrial services to many of the largest companies in the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors. Our client is undertaking a significant strategic project to implement its IT Infrastructure Management Strategy, with multiple scopes of work in progress (new data centre, compute/storage, file data migrations).

• SharePoint/Teams migrations (for Current File Data stored in on-premise network drives)

o Run pre-migration profiling reports on current state – data size/age/duplicate, file path lengths
o Work with Delivery Analyst to analyse, remediate errors
o Work with Project team to schedule and progressively execute file migrations
o Analyse migration reports, remediate any errors and re-run migrations as required
o Maintaining migration task list (currently in MS Planner)
o Daily and weekly pre-start meetings to agree priorities and deal with issues
o Technical troubleshooting and analysis with environments
o Develop work instructions for repeated tasks
o Review and accept training (adoption) materials to support adoption of M365 file storage options
• Azure Blob migrations (for archive file data in on-premise network drives)
o Responsibilities are similar to those for SharePoint, and will be run concurrently
o AZcopy or Azure Storage Explorer are easy to learn tools to execute the migrations
