An exciting opportunity for a HR & Payroll Business Analyst to join a dynamic team, driving process improvements and supporting the payroll uplift program. This role plays a key part in reviewing internal and external audit recommendations, identifying root causes, and delivering solutions-oriented outcomes.

The successful candidate will focus on enhancing documentation, streamlining process mapping, and contributing to key change management and engagement activities. Responsibilities will also include training, needs analysis and delivery, developing team profiles and service catalogues, and supporting the governance model.

Working closely with Payroll and HR stakeholders, and engaging with ICT when required, this role requires a strong understanding of payroll processes. While tertiary sector experience is not essential, payroll-specific expertise is highly valued.

  • Document and map HR processes to identify gaps and streamline workflows.
  • Configure and optimise Workday modules, particularly payroll, to meet organisational requirements.
  • Provide training and support for HR teams on system functionalities.
  • Act as a liaison between HR, IT, and other departments to ensure effective communication.
  • Develop and execute test plans to validate system configurations and updates.
  • Analyse HR data to identify trends and offer actionable insights.

Desired experience:

  • Strong background in payroll business analysis
  • Exposure to Workday, Ascender, or Promapp systems (preferred)
  • Ability to review audit recommendations and drive process improvements
  • Expertise in change management, training, and governance frameworks
