A leading Big 4 bank is looking for a DevOps/Big Data Engineer to join their team of growing engineers.

About the company
The DevOps team has a new strategy to improve their DevOps methodologies, focusing on software providing trade surveillance compliance. The purpose of the DevOps Engineer is to enhance DevOps capabilities, and provide maintenance and expansion of surveillance systems.

Key role responsibilities
• Perform task automation and scripting (Python, Pyspark, Spark)
• Make improvements to the trade surveillance solution with automation, monitoring and DevOps methodologies
• Configure and build pipelines using Atlassian stack, Ansible, Docker, ELK
• Provide first and second level support to the trade surveillance solution
• Provide input into design and documentation of technical specifications

Key role requirements
• In depth knowledge of Python and/or Spark (Pyspark, Scala Spark, Spark SQL desirable)
• Strong experience in development including automation and scripting (Ansible, Puppet)
• Experience with Open Source database tools (MySQL, PostGres)
• An understanding of DevOps and CI/CD is critical to this role (Bamboo, Jenkins, etc)
• Web development skills are desirable but not essential (Javascript/HTML, CSS)
