BI Analyst

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the main point of contact for capturing and managing requests related to both new and existing reports. This role plays a crucial part in enabling data-driven decision-making across the organisation by designing, developing, and maintaining dashboards and reports.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translating them into actionable reports.
• Creating, maintaining, and optimising dashboards to provide valuable business insights.
• Designing and implementing Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to facilitate data integration and transformation.
• Ensuring the accuracy and reliability of reports through rigorous testing and validation.
• Providing training and documentation to support business users in effectively leveraging reports and dashboards.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience in designing and developing reports using Power BI, including data modelling and DAX functions.
• Strong background in data transformation and integration, particularly using Microsoft tools such as Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Solid understanding of relational databases and hands-on experience with SQL for querying, data extraction, and performance tuning.
• Good understanding of dimensional data modelling and experience writing MDX queries.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
