AWS Data Engineer
Our client, a leading player in the financial services sector, is seeking an AWS Data Engineer to play a pivotal role to leverage technology. As a key contributor, you will build and maintain their data infrastructure, ensuring data is reliable, secure, and accessible for driving insights and delivering better wealth experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines and architectures
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to identify and fulfil data needs
- Ensure data is clean, reliable, and accessible for analysis and reporting
- Build data integration processes between various internal and external systems
- Optimise data workflows for performance, scalability, and efficiency
- Monitor and troubleshoot data processes to ensure consistent data delivery and reliability
- Implement and maintain security and privacy measures for sensitive data in line with privacy policy
- Collaborate on data governance initiatives, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements
- Provide documentation and training on data processes for relevant stakeholders
- Explore opportunities to integrate new tools and technologies into the data infrastructure
What you bring:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science or a related field
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and scripting
- Strong ability to query and manage relational databases using SQL
- Experience in designing and implementing ETL and ELT processes to move and transform data effectively
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform
- Experience in integrating APIs to fetch and post data efficiently
- Familiarity with Git for version control and collaborative development practices
