As a Senior UX researcher you will be involved in CX research, prototyping, and assessing a complex service delivery system and identifying opportunities to deliver additional value for users while working in a team of experts.
A government organisation based in Canberra has an exciting opportunity for a UX User Researcher to join an incredibly successful and expanding digital team. Due to the organisations re-development of their website, they require additional resources to contribute to this innovative project.
This position is looking for a UX User Researcher who can work closely with the product owner and UX lead to create insights that can produce innovative ideas and evaluate designs. You will be working within a growing team of Enterprise Architects, Service Designers, and Subject Matter Experts. Your focus is on user research and testing to assemble needs and behaviours for the online portfolio. You will be responsible for end user testing, ensuring it is conducted at appropriate times to ensure services certify key decisions in the design. You will be involved in a variety of quantitative and qualitative methods to conduct research where you will create behavioural specifications, personas, story flows and user journeys. Further, this individual will be responsible for designing the information architecture including navigation system, producing the sitemap, defining image/file repository rules and information wire framing from an information organisation point of view.
Skills and Experience
As an experienced UX User Researcher, you will have:
- Minimum 4+ years experience as a UX Researcher or UX Designer with Research focus
- Experience with consultation, research, user testing
- Creating story flows, personas, user journeys and information
- Experience designing information architecture
- Experience working across quantitative and qualitative methods to gather information
- Experience with Agile practices
