Site Reliability Engineer

A leading university is seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join their team, focusing on the design, deployment, and management of scalable and secure AWS infrastructure solutions. In this role, you will optimize workloads across AWS and Azure, implement CI/CD pipelines, and enhance security practices across multi-account environments.

Key Criteria:
• Proven experience managing and optimizing workloads on AWS and Azure.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure design, deployment, and management, specifically in AWS.
• Experience with networking, security, and resource management in cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline development and management using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and AWS CodePipeline.
• Knowledge of automation practices to enhance development workflows.
• Experience with security best practices and vulnerability management in cloud environments.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) to automate tasks and improve operational efficiency.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Key accountabilities:
• Infrastructure Design and Management: Spearhead the design, deployment, and management of scalable and secure AWS infrastructure solutions, ensuring robust and reliable service delivery.
• Cloud Operations Oversight: Manage and optimize workloads hosted in AWS and Azure, focusing on performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
• CI/CD Pipeline Implementation: Develop and maintain continuous integration and deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and AWS tools, enhancing development workflows.
• Security Enhancements: Lead security and vulnerability remediation efforts across multi-account environments.
