Cloud Engineer (Azure/Terraform)

Seeking a Cloud Engineer to join a leading financial services organisation.

What you'll do:

As a Cloud Engineer, your role will be pivotal in transforming our client's IT landscape. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve delivering complex solutions while maintaining high technical expertise across various platforms. You'll implement cloud infrastructure with a focus on CI/CD and automation tasks. Your commitment to driving change will help improve coding standards within the team. Collaborating with other engineers will ensure that best practices are upheld. Additionally, you'll contribute to enhancing bank platforms through problem resolution, debugging, and system enhancements.

• Deliver and deploy complex solutions in line with quality, scope, and time constraints.
• Provide high level of technical expertise across various cloud infrastructure, security, systems, and application platforms.
• Implement cloud infrastructure, systems, and application solutions with focus on CI/CD and automation tasks.
• Assist in driving change and improving the standard of code and engineering practice in the team.
• Collaborate with other Engineers to ensure standards and best practice are maintained.
• Work as part of the Platform Engineering team to support and improve Bank platforms through problem resolution, debugging, and system enhancements.
• Maintain a working knowledge of the IT Infrastructure platforms, tools, software packages used.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Cloud Engineer position brings a wealth of enterprise engineering experience to the table. With at least three years of experience working with Azure under your belt, you're confident in both customer-facing consulting roles as well as engineering roles. Your familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems sets you apart from others. You have proven experience supporting multiple customers across various platforms. Your proficiency in tooling and scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Git, ARM, Azure Devops, and Terraform makes you an invaluable asset to our client.

• 3-5 years previous enterprise engineering experience with 3 years experience working with Azure.
• Experience and confidence in a customer facing consulting or engineering role.
• Experience in Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience supporting multiple customers across multiple platforms.
• Experience using tooling and scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Git, ARM, Azure Devops, and Terraform.
