Cloud Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to join their dynamic team in Sydney. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with multiple cloud platforms, providing technical support and ensuring maximum uptime for customer environments. The successful candidate will be part of a team of technical engineers, responding to incidents and requests relating to customers' environments. They are looking for someone who can deep-dive into complex tickets.

What you'll do:

As a Cloud Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional technical support across multiple cloud platforms (AWS or Azure). You will foster an environment that prioritises customer satisfaction, logging and prioritising all requests and incidents accurately.

• Foster an environment that drives performance and quality in customer satisfaction
• Log & prioritise all requests/incidents accurately through ITSM tool and customer tools
• Support customers by maintaining visibility on any escalated and/or critical incidents
• Own all customer incidents which are assigned to you until resolution (where possible)
• Maintain high service levels for managed services offered to customers
• Provide ongoing recommendations to update processes and ensure expedited technical support to customers

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Cloud Engineer position brings a wealth of experience in system administration, specifically managing Windows and Linux server operating systems. You have spent at least 5 years working with Microsoft Azure, AWS or VMware based cloud platforms.

• 3+ years experience as a Systems Administrator managing Windows and Linux server operating systems
• 3+ years experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS and/or VMware based cloud platforms
• Experience in a customer facing support role with strong technical presence and confidence
• Experience using Service management tools, preferably ServiceNow
• Proven experience managing multiple tasks in a busy environment, working under stress in emergencies, and demonstrating flexibility to handle pressure coming from all directions simultaneously
