What you'll do:
As a Cyber Security GRC Analyst, your primary responsibility will be owning and managing the cyber security assessments for our client's equity businesses. You will play a crucial role in developing and improving their cyber security assessment framework, as well as performing these assessments on their subsidiaries. Your expertise will also be required in managing external vendors who perform these assessments. Additionally, you will be tasked with setting up and managing ongoing security monitoring of the external attack surface of these subsidiaries. Your keen eye for detail will be essential in tracking remediation of any discovered cyber risks.
- Own cyber security assessments for the organisation's equity businesses
- Develop and improve the cyber security assessment framework
- Perform cyber security assessments of subsidiaries
- Manage external vendors performing cyber security assessments
- Setup and manage ongoing security monitoring of the external attack surface
- Track remediation of cyber risks discovered by assessments and monitoring
- Participate in developing strategies to enhance cyber security governance
- Provide advice on cybersecurity and IT topics
- Identify cyber security risks and address areas of opportunity with risk management strategies
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Cyber Security GRC Analyst position brings a wealth of experience in both Cyber Security and Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC). You have a proven track record in performing assessments or audits and possess practical knowledge of ASD Essential Eight (E8). Your understanding of cybersecurity principles and common security frameworks is extensive, including APRA CPS234, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, and NIST CSF. You are well-versed in relevant regulations and legislation such as the Australian Corporations Act and Privacy Act. Any industry cyber security certifications from CompTIA, ISC, ISACA, and SANS would be a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in information security, computer science, or related fields
- Previous experience in Cyber Security and Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)
- Experience in performing assessments and/or audits
- Practical knowledge of ASD Essential Eight (E8)
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and common security frameworks, including APRA CPS234, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, NIST CSF
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation such as the Australian Corporations Act, Privacy Act
- Industry cyber security certifications from CompTIA, ISC, ISACA, and SANS are desirable
- Detail-oriented with ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
