Cyber Security Manager

Our client is seeking a Cyber Security Manager to lead and manage activities related to the security and protection of digital information across their group. This role offers an attractive salary range of $180,000 - $200,000K + Super and is based in Sydney. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a nurturing, caring, Christian environment that caters for the academic, spiritual and pastoral needs of over 17,000 students in NSW.

What you'll do:

As a Cyber Security Manager, your role will be pivotal in maintaining the security and protection of digital information across our client's group. You will be responsible for operating the Corporation’s Information Security Management System (ISMS) while identifying and managing cyber security risks. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the Information Security Governance Framework (ISGF), conducting necessary change management, overseeing information security policies, chairing the Cyber Security Risk Committee, and promoting cyber security awareness across the organisation.

• Maintain the Information Security Governance Framework (ISGF) and oversee the operation of the associated controls
• Conduct change management required to implement the ISGF and associated controls
• Oversee information security policies and assurance activities
• Chair the Cyber Security Risk Committee
• Work with external vendors to periodically run internal and external perimeter Information Security Penetration tests
• Communicate test results with key stakeholders and coordinate remediation
• Promote cyber security awareness across the Corporation through training and regular communication
• Advise Management on current and future Cyber Security landscape as well as immediate and future trends/threats

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Cyber Security Manager position will bring a passion for all aspects of cyber security. You should have extensive experience working in a similar role within a medium to large enterprise. Relevant industry certifications such as CISM, CISSP or a SANS certification are highly desirable. Your proven track record in establishing an information security framework will be essential for this role. Your ability to apply your years of experience and knowledge of cyber security in a manner that is appropriate to our client's organisation will set you apart. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required.

• Passion for all aspects of cyber security
• Extensive experience working in a similar role in a medium to large enterprise
• Relevant industry certifications in Information Security such as Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or a SANS certification
• Demonstrated experience establishing an information security framework
• Ability to apply and adapt years of experience and knowledge of cyber security appropriate to the organisation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
