What you'll do:

As a Solution Architect, your role will be pivotal in coordinating multidisciplinary teams across Digital and Campus Services. You'll be responsible for developing solution architectures for projects, setting expectations for solution design to meet business objectives. Your ability to identify, scope, and validate solutions against established architectural strategy and standards will be crucial. You'll also maintain the architecture repository during project delivery, ensuring changes resulting from project implementation are accurately reflected. Providing practical architectural advice and support to all areas of the IT Service Centre will also fall under your remit.

• Assist business areas in the development of initiatives; including architectural reviews & solution approach assessments.
• Develop solution architecture for projects and set the expectations of the solution design to meet the business objectives.
• Identify, scope and validate solutions against established architectural strategy and standards.
• Maintain the architecture repository during project delivery to ensure changes resulting from project implementation are reflected.
• Conduct due diligence of pipeline requests through assessing technology options, third party due diligence, vendor offerings, alignment to technology roadmap.
• Provide practical architectural advice and support to all areas of the IT Service Centre.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Solution Architect role will bring postgraduate qualifications or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. You should have significant experience in developing solutions in a similar role. An understanding of enterprise architecture and how it informs project delivery is essential. Experience designing for and delivering in Public Cloud services such as Azure or AWS is required. A strong technical background in one or more architectural domains - Applications, Infrastructure, Integration, Cloud - is highly desirable. Familiarity with the TOGAF framework would be advantageous.

• Postgraduate qualifications or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
• Significant experience in the development of solutions in a similar role.
• Understanding of enterprise architecture and how it informs project delivery.
• Experience designing for and delivering in Public Cloud services (e.g. Azure, AWS).
• Strong technical background in one (or ideally multiple) of the following architectural domains: Applications, Infrastructure, Integration, Cloud.
• Experience with the TOGAF framework is advantageous.
