Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Citrix Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is an exciting opportunity to oversee the Citrix environments, involving monitoring, reporting, and maintaining the Citrix infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the security of the environment and providing technical support to end-users.

What You'll Do:

As a Citrix Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing the company's Citrix environments. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth operation of our systems, from overseeing core Windows OS components to troubleshooting complex issues. You will also be tasked with deploying business applications to our Citrix XenDesktop environment and proactively monitoring these environments to prevent any potential issues. Your ability to provide technical support to end-users will be crucial in this role. Furthermore, your keen eye for identifying optimisation opportunities will contribute significantly towards improving performance and reducing costs.

  • Oversee the core Windows OS, Active Directory, Group Policies, Citrix Policies, Citrix Store Front/ Client Plugins/ Receiver that make up the Citrix environment.
  • Ensure the security of the Citrix environment by configuring policies and monitoring for breaches.
  • Troubleshoot issues by working with end-users, analysing system logs, and liaising with vendors.
  • Package and deploy business applications to the Citrix XenDesktop environment.
  • Monitor Citrix environments proactively to identify potential issues before they impact end-users.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to the Citrix environments.
  • Provide technical support to end-users and assist them with Citrix-related issues.
  • Identify opportunities to optimise Citrix environments and implement solutions.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this position is someone who brings a wealth of experience in IT or relevant work experience along with Citrix certifications. With 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, you will have developed a deep understanding of Citrix technologies including NetScaler, XenApp, XenDesktop, and Citrix Cloud. Your experience with Active Directory, OS technologies, and Group Policy Management will be crucial in this role. Additionally, your knowledge of VMware vCenter Virtualisation and Application layering and packaging will be highly valued. Above all, we are looking for someone with exceptional communication and customer service skills who can work effectively in a virtualised environment.

  • Tertiary qualification in IT or relevant work experience along with Citrix certifications
  • 3-5 years experience in a similar role in Citrix operational support
  • Knowledge in Citrix technologies including NetScaler, XenApp, XenDesktop, and Citrix Cloud
  • Experience in Active Directory, OS technologies, and Group Policy Management
  • Knowledgeable in VMware vCenter Virtualisation and Application layering and packaging
  • Experience in managing and working in a virtualised environment
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills along with a strong work ethic
  • Strong written documentation skills and verbal communication skills
