Job Description:
Join a dynamic team at a world leading mining company as a Packet Core Engineer with a focus on LTE Radio Access Network (RAN). The company is a leading player in the mining industry, dedicated to leveraging advanced technology to enhance their operations. We are looking for a skilled engineer to help optimize and maintain their LTE RAN infrastructure to ensure robust and reliable communication systems across multiple mining sites.


Key Responsibilities:
LTE RAN Design and Optimization:

  • Design, implement, and optimize LTE RAN infrastructure to support mining operations.
  • Conduct performance analysis and tuning to ensure high availability and reliability of the network.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate LTE solutions with existing systems.

Network Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

  • Monitor and maintain LTE network performance, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
  • Conduct regular network assessments and implement upgrades as needed.
  • Provide technical support for network-related incidents and perform root cause analysis.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, changes, and processes.
  • Generate regular reports on network performance, issues, and resolutions for management.

Compliance and Security:

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against vulnerabilities.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in LTE technology and best practices.
  • Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance network efficiency and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Packet Core Engineer, with a strong focus on LTE RAN.
  • In-depth knowledge of LTE architecture, protocols, and technologies.
  • Proficiency in network performance analysis and optimization tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Familiarity with mining industry operations and challenges is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with network management systems and tools.
  • Knowledge of 5G technology and its applications in industrial environments.
  • Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., Cisco, Ericsson, Nokia) is an advantage.
