Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Our client is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, including infrastructure upgrades, Office365 migrations, core business application migrations, and Azure Active Directory. The successful candidate will be responsible for project design and delivery, software and hardware configuration, and project reporting. What you'll do:

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in completing client projects across various aspects of technology. Your responsibilities will include designing, building, and managing client systems in line with business objectives.

• Design, build and manage client systems in accordance with business objectives
• Work closely with vendors to assess technology capabilities
• Configure, manage, maintain and install all hardware and software requirements within the project scopes
• Standardise and automate processes as part of continuous improvements
• Report on schedule, progress, change orders, quality assurance and other project aspects as required
• Attend meetings with clients and vendors as requested and required

The ideal candidate for the Senior Infrastructure Engineer role brings strong technical knowledge across various technologies and platforms. You have architecture and design skills that enable you to implement complex systems that meet organisational needs.

• Strong technical knowledge across various technologies and platforms
• Security and compliance best practices
• Experience with Microsoft server technologies including AD, SQL, Exchange
• Knowledge and experience in implementing and supporting solutions in Azure, including Microsoft Office 365, Azure AD and Sharepoint
• Experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMWare, AHV, HyperV and KVM
• Windows Server management (2008 to 2016)
• Vendor management skills

Nice to have:

• Networking fundamentals knowledge, CCNA, Sophos, WatchGuard, Aruba & Fortinet
• Solid understanding of ITIL service delivery methodologies
