This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Linux Engineer to join a large Global Company in Sydney’s north shore. You will be in charge of wide variety of Linux applications and web platforms. You will have interest in Linux infrastructure, web hosting & security, cloud and automation technology.

Key responsibilities

As the Linux Engineer you will be:

• Managing full stack application infrastructure – web, middleware and database
• Managingf AWS cloud environments – Linux EC2, RDS, S3
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues and performance problems
• Designing and maintaining patch management and version control on all platforms

Key skills

As the Linux Engineer you will have:

• Minimum 3yrs commercial experience managing Linux servers specifically RHEL and CENTOS
• Experience managing web hosting environments – Apache, MYSQL/PGSQL, PHP
• Excellent scripting experience in BASH, PYTHON or PHP
• Experience with database administration – PGSQL, MYSQL
• Familiar with server monitoring platforms e.g. Zabbix, Solarwinds
• Understanding of IP network fundamentals (IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, Load balancing
• Exposure to AWS cloud environments and IaaS
• Exposure to orchestration/automation tools e.g. Ansible
