ICT Support Site Leader

Our client is seeking an experienced IT Support Site Leader to join their ICT team. This role offers the opportunity to lead the coordination, management and resolution of all ICT requests and incidents at a prestigious school. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for all ICT issues, providing first, second and third level support to staff and students. This role demands exceptional levels of communication and professionalism, with the highest degree of responsibility, responsiveness, ownership and coordination of problems expected.

This role will lead another ICT Support staff member and will require being on-site 5 day's a week. An Australian Citizenship/PR and an existing Working With Children Check (WWCC) or the ability to get one will be an essential requirement.

What you'll do:

As an IT Support Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our client's ICT infrastructure. You will be responsible for leading the coordination, management and resolution of all ICT requests and incidents received at the school. Your day-to-day tasks will involve providing second and third level support to staff and students, supporting various computer hardware & software systems, troubleshooting servers, storage and networking infrastructure issues. Additionally, you will maintain systems documentation including assets & knowledge base articles while managing user accessibility. Your role will also include assisting with project-based installations and configurations.

  • Lead the coordination, management and resolution of all ICT requests and incidents received at the school
  • Provide first, second and third level support to staff and students
  • Support computer hardware & software systems including but not limited to laptops, desktops, tablets, telephones, printers, and classroom audio-visual
  • Troubleshoot issues relating to server, storage and networking infrastructure
  • Maintain systems documentation including assets & knowledge base articles
  • Manage user accessibility, assist with project-based installations and configurations


What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this IT Support Lead role brings a wealth of experience in technical help desk support, preferably within an educational setting. With a minimum of five year's experience under your belt, you have honed your troubleshooting skills across desktops, servers and networks. Your clear verbal and written communication skills enable you to articulate complex technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences.

  • Experience across Windows 10/11 and Mac OS
  • Hands-on knowledge of the Microsoft suite (O365, Azure, Active Directory etc.)
  • Minimum of 5 year's of technical help desk support experience
  • Experience in a formal or informal team leader position
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across desktop, server and network
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in articulating technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences
  • Certifications in Windows 10/11 and MacOS with proven experience with end-user devices preferred
  • Previous education industry experience preferred
  • Ability to work on-site and work well with children
