Systems Engineer - Citrix

As a System Engineer, your primary responsibility will be overseeing our client's financial Citrix environments. You'll be tasked with ensuring the security of these environments, troubleshooting any arising issues, and deploying business applications. Your role will also involve proactive monitoring of the Citrix environments to prevent potential issues from impacting end-users. Additionally, you'll be expected to create comprehensive documentation related to these environments and provide technical support where necessary. Your keen eye for identifying optimisation opportunities will be crucial in improving performance and reducing costs.

* Oversee the company's Citrix environments including monitoring, reporting, and maintenance tasks.
* Ensure the security of the Citrix environment by configuring policies and monitoring for breaches.
* Troubleshoot issues by working with end-users, analysing system logs, and liaising with vendors.
* Package and deploy business applications to the Citrix XenDesktop environment.
* Monitor Citrix environments proactively to identify potential issues before they impact end-users.
* Create and maintain documentation related to the company's Citrix environments.
* Provide technical support to end-users for Citrix-related issues.
* Identify opportunities to optimise Citrix environments and implement solutions.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this System Engineer position brings a wealth of experience in IT or relevant work experience along with Citrix certifications. With 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, you are well-versed in all aspects of Citrix operational support. Your knowledge extends to various Citrix technologies such as NetScaler, XenApp, XenDesktop, and Citrix Cloud. You're experienced in Active Directory, OS technologies, Group Policy Management, and are knowledgeable in VMware vCenter Virtualisation. Your exceptional communication skills, strong work ethic, and attention to detail make you a valuable team player.

* Tertiary qualification in IT or relevant work experience along with Citrix certifications.
* 3-5 years experience in a similar role in Citrix operational support.
* Knowledge in Citrix technologies including NetScaler, XenApp, XenDesktop, and Citrix Cloud.
* Experience in Active Directory, OS technologies, and Group Policy Management.
* Knowledgeable in VMware vCenter Virtualisation and Application layering and packaging.
* Experience managing a virtualised environment using industry-leading management tools.
* Exceptional communication and customer service skills along with a strong work ethic.
* Strong written documentation skills with the ability to liaise with both technical and business stakeholders.
