Our client is seeking a Digital Onsite Workplace Engineer to join their team in Melbourne. This role offers the opportunity to work with secure multi-cloud solutions, servicing a wide range of enterprise customers. You will be responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience and immediate solutions to end users. This is a full-time position that requires a deep understanding of support best practices and strong organisational skills

What you'll do:


As a Digital Workplace Engineer, your role will be pivotal in ensuring smooth operations within the organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include providing top-notch customer service, managing End User Compute devices, and offering onsite Level 1/2 support. You'll also handle VIP walk-ups, deploy SOE images using SCCM Desktop and Mobile Device Management, troubleshoot various technical issues, and diagnose hardware-related faults. Your ability to communicate effectively with senior management and executives will be crucial in this role.

  • Representing the company by providing an exceptional customer experience
  • Supporting the request, acquisition, deployment, maintenance, utilisation, and disposal of End User Compute devices
  • Performing onsite Level 1/2 support for end user devices across multiple locations
  • Handling VIP walk-ups and liaising with executive level staff
  • Deploying SOE images onto user devices via SCCM Desktop and Mobile Device Management
  • Troubleshooting and isolating Desktop, Networking, Windows Server, O365 issues; escalating to the relevant team when required
  • Diagnosing hardware related faults and liaising with the vendor to ensure prompt resolution


What you bring:


The ideal candidate for the Onsite Workplace Engineer role brings a wealth of experience in IT Support roles. With at least two years' experience supporting end-user devices in a face-to-face capacity, you are comfortable communicating with senior management and executives. Your deep understanding of support best practices allows you to identify root causes effectively. Your knowledge of Desktop, Networking, and Windows Server technologies enables you to troubleshoot and isolate issues efficiently. Additionally, your strong organisational and time management skills ensure that you can manage your workload effectively.

  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar IT Support role
  • 2+ years’ experience in supporting end user devices in a face-to-face capacity
  • Ability to communicate with senior management and executives effectively and confidently
  • Deep understanding of support best practices
  • Level 1-2 knowledge of Desktop, Networking and Windows Server technologies
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
