Application Analyst

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Application Analyst to join their dynamic Information Technology Services team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide advanced support and problem resolution for Local Government Solutions applications. You will be part of a team delivering minor works, initiatives, and enhancements, providing expert technical advice with limited direction. The successful candidate will have the authority to implement local initiatives for improvements within corporate goals and constraints.

What you'll do:
As an Application Analyst, your role will be pivotal in managing corporate information systems effectively.

• Provide advice on the technical restrictions and capabilities of relevant systems.
• Mentor, train, and develop team members in related technical areas.
• Develop solutions and create relevant knowledge base articles.
• Undertake technical reviews and approval of changes to IT systems.
• Manage incidents to resolution, including proactively partnering with vendors to identify solutions to incidents.
• Deliver on time, assigned initiatives and enhancements.
• Undertake root cause analysis of assigned problems, proposing potential changes and solutions.

What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Application Analyst role brings well-developed skills in managing corporate information systems, including the ability to effectively solve complex issues and complete tasks in a timely manner.

• Well-developed skills in managing corporate information systems.
• Experience with Geospatial location tools is highly desirable.
• Ability to effectively solve complex issues and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Tertiary qualification in a relevant field is desirable.
• Well-developed skills in mentoring and training team members on use of systems, processes, and methodology
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic skills in business analyst skills
