IT Infrastructure Engineer

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and administering all IT server, network, and cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal up-time and adherence to operational security best practices. This full-time position offers the flexibility of hybrid working with one day of work from home.

What you'll do:

As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, your role will be pivotal in maintaining and administering all IT server, network, and cloud infrastructure. You will ensure optimal uptime, adherence to operational security best practices, and the successful delivery of all new infrastructure requirements. Your ability to resolve IT infrastructure escalations from Level 1 and 2 service desks will be crucial. You will also play a key role in ensuring Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCP/DR) IT requirements are consistently met.

• Maintain the uptime of all servers, services, and network endpoints
• Configure and design the IT environment in accordance with operational and security best practices
• Resolve IT infrastructure escalations from Level 1 and 2 service desks
• Ensure that backups are current and maintain high availability of the environment
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all infrastructure components
• Design solutions that align with both IT and business strategies

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this IT Infrastructure Engineer role is someone who is willing to learn new technical skills. You should have strong communication skills and a friendly personable attitude. Project planning and management experience is essential. Your technical skills should include strong hardware knowledge, Hypervisor (VMWare), Windows Server, Active Directory, Networking fundamentals, Cloud: AWS, Azure, DFS-N & DFS-R, Office 365, PowerShell/Bash scripting & Automation.
