About the organisation

About the role
The Office of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), residing within Information Services (IS), supports the delivery of Strategic Plan by defining the IS strategy and business reference architecture necessary to achieve the goals and objectives of the University. The office provides IS blueprints, policies and best practice for the use and implementation of information technology and information management across the University. The Enterprise Architecture team has four domains: Business Architecture, Information/Data Architecture, Infrastructure Architecture and Application Architecture across the technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving and coordinating the deployment of software and platform upgrades whilst ensuring the consistency and availability of environments to support the existing project portfolio.
  • Work with the Senior Manager Platform Operations to deliver release candidate approach to delivery and change management principles that support a product centred framework to the university’s major applications.
  • Setting direction and a maintaining a master schedule for all strategic technology platforms and environments.
  • Monitor and streamline environment usage across projects, business as usual teams and production support and be the pathway to resolve of conflicts and to produce strategies for resolution.


Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in an environment role, managing enterprise environments to facilitate business priorities including prioritising and delivering plans of work in collaboration with business, technology and external delivery partners, designed to meet strategic goals.
  • Demonstrated capability to identify and engage effectively with the projects and establish collaborative trusted working relationships required to deliver technology solutions designed
  • to enhance business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience of project delivery methodologies, such as Prince 2 and Agile and experience of TIL processes.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging and managing external vendors to service delivery outcomes.
