Our client is seeking a PMO Officer to join their dynamic team in Perth. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop and maintain the organisation's Project Management Framework, promote effective project management methods, and evolve project management capabilities across the organisation. The successful candidate will be instrumental in fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, coordination, and partnership with a range of diverse stakeholders.

As a PMO Officer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of project management within the organisation. You will work closely with the Manager Project Management to develop and maintain the Project Management Framework. Your expertise will be crucial in facilitating organisational change initiatives aimed at improving Project Management practices across the organisation. You will also be responsible for assessing requirements for and implementing an enterprise project management system. Your ability to think strategically will be key in providing support in the development of business cases, project plans, resource plans and budgets for key projects.

  • Contribute to the development, implementation and continuous improvement of project management policies, procedures, templates, and tools.
  • Facilitate and orchestrate an organisational change management initiative.
  • Assess requirements for and implement an enterprise project management system.
  • Provide support in the development of business cases, project plans, resource plans and budgets for key projects.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, coordination, and partnership with diverse stakeholders.
  • Provide advice and reports that contribute to the overall strategic management of the organisation.


What you bring:

The ideal PMO Officer brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in project management. You have demonstrated experience in implementing or supporting Project Management practices in a complex environment. Your highly developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills enable you to build and maintain relationships with staff at all levels and engage key stakeholders effectively. Your strategic thinking abilities are complemented by your highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills. You have proven experience in implementing or supporting project management systems.

  • A relevant tertiary qualification/industry accreditation or extensive experience in project management.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing or supporting Project Management practices in a complex environment.
  • Highly developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in providing advice and reports that contribute to the overall strategic management of an organisation.
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically.
  • Proven experience in implementing or supporting project management systems.
