Senior Program Manager

About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Program Manager to lead complex, high-impact initiatives within the bank’s Data & Technology division. This role requires a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to drive large-scale programs in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who can effectively engage with senior executives, manage multiple program streams, and resolve technical challenges related to data ingestion, processing, and governance.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Delivery Management
• Oversee multiple work streams, managing dependencies, risks, issues, quality, program lifecycle, and reporting.
• Lead a team of Release Train Engineers (RTEs), Scrum Masters, and other program managers to ensure seamless delivery.
• Establish and maintain clear project plans that adapt to rapidly changing business needs.
• Act as a central point for executive updates, presenting clear insights on progress, risks, and mitigation plans.

Technical Leadership
• Possess a strong technical understanding of data lakes, ingestion patterns, connectivity, and batch processing.
• Represent and communicate technical issues to senior executives and key stakeholders.
• Understand AWS concepts such as S3 buckets, batch jobs, and data lake structures—while hands-on coding is not required.

Data Program Leadership
• Drive the execution of data transformation initiatives to enhance business insights and reporting.
• Oversee data ingestion into Lakehouse architectures, supporting financial crime prevention, marketing campaigns, and business modelling.

Stakeholder & Executive Management
• Collaborate with senior leadership, ensuring alignment on strategic objectives.
• Influence and guide executives on technical and program-related challenges.
• Manage crisis situations, ensuring effective and timely resolutions.

What We’re Looking For
✅ Proven experience (10 years +) in program management, preferably in banking or financial services.
✅ Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand and navigate data engineering challenges.
✅ Ability to manage multiple complex workstreams while engaging with senior executives.
✅ Exceptional problem-solving skills—able to work under high pressure with a “take no prisoners” approach.
✅ Experience in stakeholder management, crisis management, and executive communication.
✅ Familiarity with Agile methodologies, SAFe framework, and enterprise data platforms.
