Senior Systems Engineer

To this end, we are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer with Train Dynamics analysis and development capability to join our team to provide our customers the best LEADER product we can offer. The ideal candidate has a background in development of control systems in an embedded system utilising a real-time operating system environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years+ in similar role
• Development experience in C/C++
• Familiarity with software development life cycle

Desirable:

• Rail Experience
• Embedded real-time systems
• Understanding & modelling of complex physical systems

Responsibilities of the roles:
The Systems Engineer filling this position will be responsible to collaborate as part of a team on the design, development, analysis, and test of new software-based train dynamics algorithms within the LEADER product family.

This includes:

• Provide maintenance support for existing products.
• Analysis of field data and test results using common data analysis tools.
• Design and development of algorithms to control and model the dynamic characteristics of a train.
• Development of train control methodologies and algorithms utilising common analysis and modelling tools.
• Perform and participate in design reviews.
• Prepare detailed design documentation.
• Develop and maintain automated test systems
• Gather customer requirements for the design of rail automation systems.
• Prepare systems documentation including requirement specifications.
• Develop and maintain software for rail automation systems.
• Test systems, including development and integration testing.
• Interface with Software Developers, Project Management, Customer Support, technical leads, and other Systems Engineers
