Senior Software Engineer

This is a permanent opportunity to join one of Australia's largest banking institutions as a Senior Software Engineer. This is an exciting role within the banking technology team, and this person will be developing end user products, and implementing improvements across the organisations engineering capability.

The successful candidate will be someone at the senior level who can work with, and improve development standards in the banking technology team.

Key Accountabilities:

• Demonstrate strong analytical, design and programming skills with excellent communication skills
• Ability to mentor and coach development techniques in less experienced team members
• Ability to work independently or in a team
• Self sufficienct and able to manage time to product results

Essential Skill Requirements:

• Strong experience in Java, Spring, Cloud Technologies (Azure or AWS)
• Experience developing CI/CD Pipelines
• Excellent working knowledge of containers (Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift

Desirable

• Experience in event streaming (Kafka)
• Kotlin
• DevOps
• Experience working with agile development methodologies
• Previous experience in the financial services space
