  • Software Engineer working for a Mining Software organisation
  • FIFO role on a 8/6 roster
  • Very competitive pay due to FIFO travel
  • Even if not wanting FIFO, please consider applying as other roles might be suitable

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide the Autonomous Systems team with on-site support during product development
  • Assist with changes to the code base.
  • Test, analyse and debug autonomous vehicle software at a customer site.
  • Regular reporting and discussions with other off-site development teams to debug issues and provide product improvement suggestions
  • Analyse, coordinate, and perform failure analysis activities to identify root cause of customer reported issues
  • Act independently with minimal supervision to conduct data collection and complete required vehicle performance tests

Qualifications

Must-Have:

  • Experience with C++
  • Experience with Linux
  • Experience with IP Networking

Key Success Factors:

  • Ability to comply with requirements to travel to mine sites
  • Professional, and comfortable with customer facing role
  • Adaptable to fast changing requirements
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work a FIFO roster on a customer site

Nice-to-Have:

  • DDS or equivalent pub/sub communications
  • Automotive experience
  • MATLAB/Simulink
  • Enough Microsoft Excel knowledge to analyse / plot field data
