Senior Software Developer

Our client is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join their global team. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects across their full range of product offers. You will have the chance to contribute to roadmaps, recommend technical developments, and ensure high-quality, production-ready software is delivered in cloud services architecture and design.

You will report into the Engineering Manager & work across several customer facing cloud products in a mature agile environment.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Software Developer, you will play a crucial role in building software as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will be responsible for developing both existing applications and new ones using the appropriate technology stack. Your role will involve analysing and identifying areas for modification and improvement, as well as developing new functionalities to meet customer and business requirements. You will also contribute to roadmaps that facilitate application software development, ensuring that all development work aligns with business needs. Your expertise will be vital in recommending technical developments that enhance the quality of application software.

• Develop existing applications and new applications in appropriate technology stack.
• Analyse and identify technical areas for modification and improvement.
• Develop new functionality to meet customer and business requirements.
• Contribute to road map to facilitate application software development.
• Discuss and recommend technical developments to improve quality of the application software.
• Ensure code is peer reviewed, validated and fit for purpose.
• Assist with investigations and root cause analysis and rectify latent issues with code quality.
• Take part and contribute into Agile ceremonies including development estimation and the demonstration of work.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Senior Software Developer position will bring a wealth of experience in software development along with a strong understanding of cloud services architecture and design. You should have a tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline. Your skill set should include strong software development skills such as C#, ASP.Net, MVC, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS and Angular. A strong understanding of Azure cloud design patterns and infrastructure is essential, along with familiarity with the Human Centred Design approach to software development. You should also have strong database skills including SQL, LINQ, and NoSQL. Experience working within an agile (Scrum) environment alongside business analysts, developers, and business stakeholders is also crucial.

• Tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in software development
• 3+ years of experience with cloud services architecture and design.
• Strong software development skills – e.g. C#, ASP.Net, MVC, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Angular and Bootstrap
• Strong understanding of Azure cloud design patterns and infrastructure
• Familiarity with Human Centred Design approach to software development
• Strong database skills - SQL, LINQ, NoSQL
• Experience working with business analysts, developers, and business stakeholders within an agile (Scrum) environment

This role will be based in Perth's northern suburbs with a 2 days WFH / 3 in the office structure.
