Senior Software Developer

In this role, you will be responsible for developing existing skills in software development, coding, and automation. You will contribute towards solutions in deployment, change management, and incident management, while also building continuous delivery practices to increase delivery speed. Collaborating with teams, you will help build robust and scalable integration platforms using tools and best practices. Creating and maintaining technical documentation, estimating and planning integration solutions, and acting as a trusted technical advisor to the product owner will also be part of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop skills in software development, coding, and automation.
• Contribute towards solutions in deployment, change management, and incident management.
• Build continuous delivery practices to increase delivery speed.
• Collaborate with teams to build robust and scalable integration platforms.
• Utilise tools and best practices for efficient platform solution development, verification, and deployment.
• Mentor, coach, and advise junior employees on effective solution building, coding, and deployment.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, continual learning, and improvement within the Technology Area and Engineering Chapter.
• Provide ongoing support for platforms, including problem and incident management.
• Create and maintain accurate technical documentation.
• Participate in meetings to estimate, plan, and deliver integration solutions for strategic and company-wide initiatives.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to the product owner.

Technical Requirements:

• Strong understanding of Kafka Platform Architecture and Design.
• Experience in Kafka Platform Implementation (Confluent for Kubernetes experience preferred).
• Strong understanding and experience with AWS/GCP cloud.
• Experience in Kafka connectors, replicators, and security aspects.
• Event-driven design and development.
• Java stream processing implementation and design.
• Experience with Flink Data Streaming Platform.
• Micro-Service Driven Architecture and design.
• DevOps mentality - Infrastructure as Code.

Note: We are open to applicants who have experience in most but not all of these technical fields.

Additional Requirements:

• Background in Software/Platform Engineering with adaptability to the latest developments, technologies, and tooling.
• Experience in software development roles such as Integration Engineer or Platform Operations Engineer.
• Ability to work closely with the product owner and contribute to coding designs and decisions.
• Understanding of technical requirements and ability to make sound implementation decisions.
• Strong writing skills for technical documentation covering various aspects.
