What you'll do:

As a Senior Java Developer, you will be instrumental in driving solutions for complex problems within a dynamic team-based environment. Your role will involve performing system analysis, maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of tools and software packages, undertaking relevant research, and working collaboratively with various stakeholders. You will also play a key role in contributing to the development of policies, standards, and guidelines for software development. Your ability to lead task breakdowns, guide other developers, support cross-team collaboration, contribute to continuous improvement, and undertake coding for systems will be crucial for success in this role.

• Perform systems analysis and design changes to systems
• Maintain a working knowledge of tools and software packages used
• Undertake relevant research including the evaluation of new software, tools, and techniques
• Work collaboratively with business stakeholders and peers to refine business requirements
• Comply with and contribute to the development of policies, standards, and guidelines for software development
• Lead the identification/breakdown of development components and tasks
• Guide other developers through development decisions
• Support cross-team collaboration
• Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation
• Undertake coding for systems as well as integration software services

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Senior Java Developer role will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in Java technologies, web services, and API. Your understanding of public key cryptography, PKI, certificate management processes and protocols, as well as your familiarity with automation platforms such as Puppet will be essential. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders and guide other developers through development decisions. Your commitment to continuous improvement and innovation will be highly valued.

• In-depth knowledge of Java technologies (e.g., Embedded Tomcat, Spring Boot, MVC)
• Strong web services knowledge (Spring MVC & RestTemplate)
• Strong API understanding and experience (Open API, OAuth 2.0, mTLS, api-key, Swagger tool)
• Experience with PKCS11 and/or Smartcard API.
• Understanding how public key cryptography works (e.g., public/private keys, key exchange, hash-functions, digital signatures)
• Understanding of the PKI and its purpose (e.g., digital signatures, certificates, CAs, RA)
• Familiarity with certificate management process (enrolment, CSR submission, certificate issuance)
• Familiarity with certificate management protocols (e.g. CMP, SCEP)
• Familiarity with automation platforms and frameworks such as Puppet
• Excellent communication skills
